Who's the Biggest, Biggest Loser Fan?

Well today I am the biggest, biggest loser fan. I usually watch the show but this past season especially because there were two sets from AZ. A student of mine mentioned once that his middle name is Sione, so I said that there is a guy on Biggest Loser named Sione and he said that's my uncle. Who knew, right?

So now that my students uncle is on TV I was definitely watching. Plus there are two more brothers at the school and I had one of them two years ago. Each time they showed home shots, I saw my cute students little faces for split seconds, and saw their mom a few times too.

This week at school the 6th graders did country reports and they invite the other grades to come and take an Around the World trip etc. Well the oldest boy in this family did Tonga...and today the two uncles came to do the dance with him! I arranged for my class to be there so my student could see his family and I shook Sione's hand when he asked if I was the teacher. They were both very nice and signed lots of autographs for the kids, who knew they were "celebrities." It was very exciting for the three classes who were there. I was too chicken to ask for a picture with them even though others were but I did get this video and let me just tell you they look better in person than on TV. Filipe looks good, but Sione is a total hottie... yes, they are both married....just an observation.

Here they are with a little performance at Alma Elementary School.

p.s. they are now teaching their fitness classes at Mesquite High every other Saturday.

Deanna, that is cool to me because I saw that all the time over at BYUH. They love everyone and their culture is really cool. That's awesome they came to the school and how cute that the kids asked for their autographs.

They crack me up. My aunt is Polynesian. I have so many good memories of being among Tongans and Samoans. Every week I watched them I would cry and think of family I know and love, and watch how hard these two were working. A-mazing! I hope they can make a change. My aunt's brother just died recently from problems with obesity. . .like they said, their culture lives for being overweight. . .
